Established in 2000, Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals devotes its efforts and resources to developing, manufacturing, and marketing pharmaceutical therapies which are indicated for diseases/medical conditions requiring specialized treatment. Currently, Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals markets prescription drugs in both the U.S. and internationally, in the therapeutic categories of antiviral and antifungal agents.
The company has continued to expand its product line into the branded market with the acquisition of AMPHOTEC®/AMPHOCIL® in May of 2005. This product is currently being marketed in over 30 countries worldwide.
In addition, Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals has broadened its presence in the hepatitis C market with the December 2005 launch of Ribasphere® Tablets and RibaPak® and with Infergen® in January 2008. With the development of these therapies, Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals has helped many patients around the world improve the quality of their treatment.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Medical Affairs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Medical Affairs Director and Medical Science Liaisons. The position is primarily administrative in nature and a supportive role to the Medical Affairs Director and Medical Science Liaisons. Excellent verbal and written skills are required.
Duties and Accountabilities:
- Answer all Medical Information calls for Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals's products.
- Provide standard responses (in an appropriate timeframe) to information requests by healthcare practitioners through standard Medical Information Requests. These responses may be through email, fax, and or mail.
- Work directly in conjunction with the Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) on requests that do not have a standard response. Research and provide data to the MSL that will allow for the appropriate response to non-standard requests.
- Assist in updating and proof sourcing all current Medical letters, making sure that the information being sent is the most up-to date medical information available.
- Conduct extensive internet research to ensure the accuracy of the data provided to healthcare practitioners.
- Monitor and update medical information in conjunction with Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals's ASPIRE program which supplies clinical data to allow denied coverage for our products to be appealed (via the appeals process).
- Assisting in the development of medical education information for Advisory Board meetings, other medical meetings, Medical Education Slide decks, etc.
- Facilitate communication and coordination of activities between Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals and clinical investigators.

Sr. Manager of Sales Training |

Summary
The Sr. Manager of Sales Training is responsible for the development and implementation of all corporate training programs for the field sales and management teams with respect to all company products. The Sr. Manager of Sales Training will work cross functionally with all departments in developing, planning, scheduling, and implementing all materials necessary to conduct effective development of the field sales force.
The Sr. Manager of Sales Training will work closely with sales and marketing to ensure revenue goals are met and that the products support the company’s overall strategy for achieving corporate goals and objective.
Principal Responsibilities
Candidates for this position should possess a proven track record of success and the ability to excel in all areas of product knowledge and sales training techniques, including but not limited to the following:
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the disease state and competitive environment for each product represented.
- Coordinate and implement highly effective initial, advanced and management development field-based sales training programs.
- Develop and implement both online sales training programs and assessments in addition to classroom techniques to maximize product knowledge and uptake of the marketing messages for all products.
- Develop, maintain and enhance new hire sales training materials as required.
Revise and update sales training materials and content on an ongoing basis to reflect new products, the competitive environment, and new technology.
- Work with field sales and management to develop effective sales training and development programs to support the sales force. Be able to articulate and clarify the sales training strategy to the field sales and sales and marketing management teams.
Develop, manage and operate within budget a sales training annual budget. Work interdepartmentally with the Product Managers and with field sales team to develop effective sales training programs, product messaging and positioning.
- Conduct market research to identify and track market trends, analyze competitive activities, pricing, and reimbursement environment for all assigned products.
- Coordinate other activities associated with assigned products as directed by the Vice President of Marketing including the preparation, planning, and implementation of conventions, conferences, national meetings and other meetings to support the sales force.
Position Requirements
Candidates should possess at least 2 years of successful sales experience and 2-3 years of product marketing or sales management experience.
- Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical sales training techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, field sales and management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and computer skills with outstanding presentation skills required.
- 4 Year BA/BS degree in Business, Life Sciences, or Education.
- Must be able to travel 20% of the time.

Product Manager-Antivirals |

Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution of all marketing activities and work to assess the changing dynamics and competitive activities for products within the antiviral portfolio in order to maximize sales, market share, and profitability. The Product Manager is responsible for defining the product vision, forecasting product sales and market growth, strategic planning, lifecycle management, development of the product tactical plan, including program development, advertising and the development of sales support materials. The Product Manager will work closely with sales and marketing to ensure revenue goals are met and that the products support the company’s overall strategy for achieving corporate goals and objectives.

Coordinate all activities associated with assigned products including the preparation, planning, and implementation of conventions, conferences, and other meetings to support the products.
- Participate in all sales training for the assigned products.
- Operate within assigned budgets for all products.
Position Requirements
Candidates should possess at least 2 years of successful sales experience and 2-3 years of product marketing experience preferably. Experience within the hepatitis C market is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in launching pharmaceutical products.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, field sales and management.
- Excellent communication, computer and presentation skills with strong analytical skills.

Director of Drug Safety and Medical Information Services |

Job Description Summary:
Rapid growth of our small, highly-successful and profitable specialty pharmaceutical company in the Pittsburgh area (western Pennsylvania) has created the need for a Director of Drug Safety and Medical Information Services. This leadership position will require the successful candidate to help develop and lead a best-in-class Medical Affairs Department. He or she will provide updates and guidance to the corporation’s senior-management team on any safety issues and medical-information requirements pertaining to the company’s commercial and future products. The director will represent the company in a medical-affairs/information capacity at healthcare professional meetings, and meetings with US and foreign regulatory agencies. The candidate will report to the Acting Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs and be located at the corporate headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Represent company as chief medical-information liaison in meetings with physicians and other healthcare professionals (HCPs), managed-care organizations, Marketing and Sales representatives and corporate partners
- Provide medical information relating to company products to consumers and healthcare professionals upon request
- Provide medical-information review of Marketing and Sales promotional materials
- Help create and update medical-information-response letters to product inquiries from healthcare professionals
- Research medical literature on a continuing basis to provide responses relating to company products to requesting healthcare professionals
- Create and/or assist in creation and presentation of medical information relating to company products to internal or external groups as required, including Medical Speakers’ Programs
- Record adverse-event reports from consumers, HCPs, company representatives and other parties and follow-up as necessary
- Attend and provide scientific support at company’s booths at professional scientific meetings
- Create new and update existing standard operating procedures for 3RP’s Medical Information Department
- Track and document monthly call center volume, medical-information requests, and other reports associated with 3RP’s call center
Educational/Professional Requirements:
- M.D., Pharm.D. or Ph.D. with relevant science or pharmaceutics background
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong computer skills
- Periodic overnight travel (domestic and international) will be required
